Storytelling and Supporting Refugees

It's finally HERE! Join us for an afternoon of story, soul, and hope. We’re gathering to celebrate the release of Cockroaches, God, Death, and Mangoes—the hauntingly beautiful story about a young boy named Bikonzi and his family’s struggle to survive in a Congolese concentration camp. Set against the backdrop of war, this book is a raw meditation on the silence of God, the nearness of death, and the strange grace that shows up in the most unlikely places. Whether you're a lover of literature, justice, faith, or simply drawn to stories that linger long after the last page, this event is for you.

Parent's Night In

Based on the book Teach Your Children Well: A Step-by-Step Guide to Parent Discipleship by Sarah Cowen Johnson, this “evening in” will explore practical advice and biblical guidance for parents seeking to disciple their children. The book focuses on how parents can take an active, intentional role in their children’s spiritual formation, with an emphasis on creating a strong, faith-based foundation in the home. We’ll watch a few videos based on topics covered in the book and have time for conversation and break-outs for each parent unit to begin thinking through discipleship in their home. Purchase of the book is not required, but if you'd like a copy, make that selection on the sign up and I'll have one for you! Dinner for the adults & Childcare will be provided!! Bring a dinner for your kiddos, though. Register by 4/24 to secure your slot!

Ash Wednesday

Join us for our annual Ash Wednesday service, a kick off to the Lenten season in which we reflect upon our need for Jesus and choose to embrace specific Lenten practices together as a community. Rabbi Simcha Bunim taught that we should carry two truths: “For me the world was created,” and “I am but dust and ashes.” In this tension, we seek renewal in Christ, embracing His love and grace to transform us.

The service theme will be "Never Waste A Good Crisis," and will involve some music, a short teaching, and some meditative space for you to consider the ways God might be leading you back to life in Him looking forward to Easter.
