Faithful Presence: Standing with the Local and Global Persecuted Church
Today, about 1 in every 67 people worldwide has been forcibly displaced from their home, including 42 million refugees--survivors of persecution--many of them our Christian brothers and sisters.
Yet the God of the Bible is alive and well, building His Church against all odds (Matt. 16), working in and through people on the move, as he has since the beginning.
What are forcibly displaced people facing today, and what is our response? How might we learn from them and come alongside them in unity and mission? What does that practically look like, right here in Phoenix?
Join renowned authors and speakers Daniel Yang and Matthew Soerens, along with local Phoenix leaders, for an eye-opening and empowering time, including a meal from a refugee-owned restaurant.

Church Camp
Come to church camp expecting a fun time practicing our faith in community as we learn about what it means to abide in Jesus! Scripture shows us over and over again the value of getting away from the stress and busyness of daily life to spend time with God. We find one example of this in Mark 6 after Jesus feeds the 5,000. Immediately after leaving the crowd of people, he leaves even his disciples and goes “up on a mountainside to pray” (v 46). It’s our prayer that this weekend gives you a chance to get out of the valley and spend some time sitting and abiding with Jesus, in community.
You can expect games and adventures of all kinds, times of worship and teaching, and time for reflection and solitude. Meals will be provided and covered in your registration cost, as is lodging in the shared cabins.

Communities of Flourishing: Moving from Critique to Action
Many of us can name what’s broken in our communities—polarization, isolation, poverty, food insecurity, injustice, and the fatigue that comes from trying to do good in challenging times.
This gathering is designed to help churches, ministries, and everyday Christians move beyond critique and into hopeful, collaborative, biblically-grounded action. Together, we will explore how the church can embody God’s love in public life in ways that are faithful, creative, and deeply rooted in Scripture.
We’ll engage real issues facing our neighborhoods: caring for immigrants and refugees, the sanctity of life, addressing hunger and food insecurity, confronting racism, sustaining soul-care while serving, stewarding creation, and resisting the pull of consumerism and greed.
You’ll hear from nationally recognized leaders along with practitioners from across Arizona, including leaders serving in Phoenix, Flagstaff, Tucson, and other communities, who are demonstrating what faithful presence looks like in their context.
Expect to leave with renewed imagination, practical ideas, and new relationships with others committed to seeking the flourishing of our cities and neighborhoods. This is a day for anyone who wants to see the church live out the love of Christ in tangible, transformative ways.

Whether through building projects, community outreach, or simply showing up to listen and learn, our goal is to embody Christ’s love in tangible ways—and to return home with a deeper understanding of God’s global mission.

Ash Wednesday Experience
Join us for our annual Ash Wednesday experience, a kickoff to the Lenten season in which we reflect upon our need for Jesus and choose to embrace specific Lenten practices together as a community. Rabbi Simcha Bunim taught that we should carry two truths: “For me the world was created,” and “I am but dust and ashes.” In this tension, we seek renewal in Christ, embracing His love and grace to transform us. The theme for the service will be reflecting upon Jesus' final hours with His disciples, specifically when He chooses to wash their feet, and what this prompts in us as we face our own mortality, purpose, and life in Christ - it will involve a series of meditative stations with scripture readings, explanations, reflection questions, and prompts to consider for the Lenten season, fasts, and more.
