Meet Our Leadership
Clint Leavitt
PASTOR
Rev. Clint Leavitt is a pastor, professor, author, and poet who believes stories are the key to our way back home—to the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Born and raised in Phoenix, Clint earned a BA in English Literature and a Master of Arts in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary, where he focused much of his work on the interplay between theology and culture. He serves as the pastor of Midtown Presbyterian Church and as a professor and curriculum developer for undergraduate students at Grand Canyon University, helping to write and teach courses such as Christianity and Culture, Christian Worldview and Media, Pentateuch, and more!
A lover of literature and film, Clint writes movie reviews on his own site and for Loud and Clear Reviews, and his first book—Cockroaches, God, Death, and Mangoes—came out in September 2025. He is also passionate about sports—whether playing, watching, or creating new games—and enjoys staying active whenever he has the chance. He and his wife, Emily, live in North Central Phoenix with their daughter, Zoe, and their Goldendoodle, Wally. They love to travel, explore new restaurants, and share adventures together - he’d love to grab a coffee or a meal and hear more about your story!
Haley Gainer
DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS
Haley loves all things social, sports, and sweet treats. Originally from Orange County, California, Haley moved to Phoenix to study Christian Ministry at Grand Canyon University. When not studying or waitressing you can find her at Pizookie Tuesdays, trying local coffee shops, or going to sporting events (Go Clippers/ Chargers/ Notre Dame!). Haley is passionate about spiritual formation and inviting people into a deeper relationship with Jesus. She loves hearing other peoples experiences and learning about the different cultures and spaces around her.
Arienna Lacey
PASTORAL RESIDENT
Originally from the Golden State in somewhat sunny San Jose, Arienna loves being outside, like taking long walks through her neighborhood, exploring gardens or arboretums, or picnicking in parks - when it’s not 120F. When it is, you can find her inside with the AC on reading, crafting, or crosswording.
Arienna studied TESOL (teaching English to speakers of other languages) at Moody Bible Institute in response to God’s call on her life to do cross cultural missions. Over time, God developed that into a heart for church planting and pastoral ministry. After marrying Jared, her husband and partner in God’s calling, she began to explore what this calling looks like in real life. God led Jared and Arienna to a two year long church planting apprenticeship in London, UK, where they served with a local pastor and learned so much about cross cultural vocational ministry. Arienna is now pursuing her Master of Arts in Missional Theology at Calvin Theological Seminary.
Arienna and Jared are city slickers through and through - they love to explore and try new coffee shops, restaurants, and bars, so if you have any Phoenix recommendations, let her know!

She and her husband are raising 3 amazing humans, embracing the opportunities for growth and moving towards health all along the way. The Keck family lives in a Midtown Phoenix neighborhood.
Annalyse Erbst
DIRECTOR OF WORSHIP + CREATIVE EXPRESSIONS
Annalyse is a recent transplant from the land of casseroles and hospitality, St. Louis, Missouri. She and her husband Jason moved in 2022 to pursue the sun and great outdoors. They began officially attending Midtown in February 2024. Annalyse’s piano, vocal and songwriting chops were nurtured in church spaces growing up, and have led to greater worship opportunities in churches of all varieties. She earned a Bachelor of Music in Songwriting and is fascinated by the creative process and all things songwriting pedagogy. In addition to inhabiting worship spaces, Annalyse is working on side projects in indie, electro-pop and jazz styles, and also teaches private music lessons. She is passionate about making music and creativity accessible to people of all ages and abilities. Outside of music, you may find her conquering a trail, hunting in a thrift shop, or listening to vinyl.
Jordan Hoyt
TECHNICAL DIRECTOR
Jordan originally hails from the Midwest Mitten State, moving to the valley in 2015. He graduated from GCU’s MBA program in 2018 and is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity at ECO’s Flourish Institute of Theology. Jordan started poking around Midtown in late 2018, while navigating a season of deep faith deconstruction, and has been passionate about how Jesus is speaking into the lives of others in the community who have been navigating that journey as well. Jordan met his lovely wife, Sarah, at Midtown in 2019, becoming the first couple to meet and get married in the congregation. Jordan expresses himself through a wide range of interests and hobbies, from music and sound production - solo and in bands, Competitive Fencing, Dungeons and Dragons, visual art and video creation, OT history, culture, and literature, hats, floating the Salt River, and wandering Phoenix in search of a good chili-cheese dog, accompanied by his furry sidekick, lil homie.
